Sapa Heaven Gate in Ô Quý Hồ: Entry Fee & Opening Hours

Sapa Heaven ’s Gate (Vietnamese: Cổng Trời Sa Pa) is located in Ô Quý Hồ Pass about 18km North of Sa Pa Town center, between Lai Chau and Lao Cai province. It will be great to view the wide valley and terraced green rice field from here. The heaven gate is very close to Silver Waterfall (Thác Bạc in Vietnamese). The silver waterfall is one of the 10 most beautiful waterfalls in Lao Cai Province.

How to Get to Sapa Heaven Gate & Best Time to Visit

You can visit the Heaven Gate at any time of year when traveling to Sapa of Vietnam. The Heaven’s Gate is located about 18km to the North of Sapa Town center, so you can see two paths to get there. If you travel from Sapa town, you will follow the road to Silver Waterfall and Tram Ton ranger station about 12km long. If you go by motorbike, it only takes about 30-35 minutes to arrive. After that, go a few more kilometers to the top of the O Quy Ho Pass, which is also called Sapa Heaven’s Gate.

However, for some tourists traveling to Hanoi to Sapa, you can take a Sleeper Bus to Sapa or Overnight Train to Lao Cai then bus to Sapa.  Then follow the right path above to take a metered taxi. On the road, keep attention because the road from Sapa town to the Heaven Gate is full of passes, some are quite dangerous.
