Han Market (Vietnamese: Chợ Hàn) is a significant landmark in Da Nang City of Vietnam. This market have been in operation since the French Colonial Time in the 1940s. This local market was built within a two-storey building at the grand intersection of Tran Phu and Bach Dang Streets, Hung Vuong and Tran Hung Dao Streets, where you can find hundreds of local stalls selling an array of local handicrafts, T-shirts, produce, and accessories.

The market is very much like a miniature version of Ben Thanh Market in Saigon / Ho Chi Minh City, and even if you aren’t really looking to buy anything, the market still offers a fascinating glimpse into local life of people in Da Nang City.
The ground level of Han Market is a place for locals shop of fresh vegetables, seafood, and many kinds of butchered meat in the early morning. There are also some fruit stalls set in front of the market, where you can buy tropical fruits such as bananas, durian, mangoes, and jackfruit. Ideal as local souvenirs for loved people back home, make sure you stock up on prepacked rice crackers, chilli paste, Ly Son garlic, and dried squid, all of which are also available on the same floor.
The indoor of Han Market is for food court offering just about any Vietnamese and local dish you can think of, from my quang (Quang turmeric noodles) and com tam (Vietnamese broken rice) to banh xeo (crispy pancake) and goi cuon (Vietnamese fresh spring rolls), each of which should cost you less than VND 30,000.
Meanwhile, the upper level of the market is where you can buy some home appliances, souvenirs, cosmetics, and fabrics. Some of the top tailors in Da Nang also set up shop in Han Market, making it a great place to get quality yet affordable custom made cloths. Han Market is accessible within a bout five-minute walking from Da Nang Cathedral, the market is open every day from 5;00AM - 7;00PM, but you should get there especially packed between 06:00AM and 11:00AM and from 04:00PM onwards.
