Urgent: Ben Tre Finds Guests on the Bus with Covid-19 Patient

Ben Tre Department of Health also recommends that all passengers on the the same bus should immediately contact the nearest medical facility for instructions on health monitoring. The Department of Health of the province also requires Cong Tao garage to notify passengers who have purchased tickets on the trip.

According to Mr. Can, two cases were the mother and boyfriend of the patient were isolated. Currently, the Steering Committee for COVID-19 disease prevention and control is coordinating with functional units to take F1 patient samples from two people and send them to the Pasteur Institute of Ho Chi Minh City for testing.

According to information from the leader of Binh Dai district, the people of Thua Loi hamlet will be restricted to travel from 13 noon today (Thua Loi hamlet has an area of about 700 hectares with 1,588 people).

As PLO reported, earlier on March 17, patient T. went on flight BI381 from Malaysia to Tan Son Nhat Airport (Ho Chi Minh City). After arriving at the airport the same day, the patient came home on the bus number 51B-142.48 of Cong Tao car company.

After landing at Tan Son Nhat airport, the patient was examined and declared medical report to authority.

After returning to the locality, the patient had contact with two person: the mother (the same address) and her boyfriend, who lived in Hamlet 4, Thanh Phuoc commune, Binh Dai district.

On March 18, the patient was physically isolated from home by the Binh Dai district health department. On March 21, the authorities conducted a sample collection and sent to the Pasteur Institute of Ho Chi Minh City for testing. Test results on March 22 of Pasteur Institute of Ho Chi Minh City showed that the patient was positive for SARS-CoV-2.
