Ninh Binh Railway Station is a main train station on the North-South railway line. The station is located on Ngo Gia Tu street, Nam Binh ward, Ninh Binh city, 115 km north of Hanoi Station, 28 km north of Nam Dinh station, nearly 61 km south of Thanh Hoa station, 199 km south of Vinh station and 574 km south of Hue Station.

Ninh Binh Train Station was inaugurated in June 2015 to replace the old Ninh Binh station 1.35 km away, becoming a cargo station. Besides 2 Ninh Binh stations, in Ninh Binh province, there are 3 other stations with smaller scale, namely Dong Giao Station, Cau Yen Station and Ghenh Station. These stations all belong to the North-South railway line. In 2015, Ninh Binh station was commented by VTC as the most beautiful and modern train station in Vietnam
