Emirates Airlines Will Stop to Carry Passengers from March 25
Emirates Airline has announced that it will stop all passenger flights from March 25 because of Covid-19. However, Emirates maintains cargo flights. This move comes after countries have increased border closures and the number of nCoV infections has skyrocketed around the world.

"As a network with a global network, we are in a position to be unable to operate passenger services until countries reopen their borders and trust with tourism again," Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed al -Maktoum, President and CEO of Emirates Group said.
According to Emirates leaders, the airline will continue to monitor disease progress closely and restore services as soon as everything allows.
Emirates Group says it will not cut jobs but reduce the basic salary of most employees in three months, by 25–50%. Currently Emirates belongs to the group of 5 largest airlines in the world in terms of passengers and cargo.
In addition to reducing wages, the airline is also taking measures to cut costs including postponing or canceling irregular payments, freezing unnecessary consulting and recruiting jobs, encouraging employees to take leave. salary or not ...
Regarding the decision to reduce the salary, Chairman Sheikh Ahmed explained that instead of quitting the job, Emirates chose this option to protect the labor force and retain the talented and competent employees as much as possible.
"We want to avoid cutting labor. When demand rises again, we want to quickly accelerate and continue to provide services to our customers," said Emirates Group President.
Emirates' decision to stop flying passengers is also a blow to the demand for aircraft fuel consumption in the region. Globally, major airlines are cutting back service when people are advised to stay home and isolate themselves to reduce the spread of the virus.
Last week, American Airlines announced a 75% reduction in activity, while United plans to reduce 90% of international flights scheduled in April.
British Airways is also cutting capacity by 75% in the next two months. Turkish Airlines says 85% of passenger airplanes are not in use. Many major airlines in the US have asked the Government for bailout packages of over USD 50 billion.
