All People Entry Vietnam Required to Stay Isolation for 14 Days
All passengers to Vietnam are required to stay in isolation for 14 days, from 0h on 21/3. This is a requirement of the National Steering Committee for Prevention of Covid-19. Those who enter Vietnam for diplomatic and public service purposes will be quarantined at diplomatic missions or accommodation establishments, under the supervision of the authorities and health authorities.
Before entry, guests must make a medical declaration and have their body temperature checked. Aircraft must be cleaned and disinfected. Vietnam Ministry of Transport today announces to the above policy passengers. Immigration police, military, customs, medical quarantine units ... are responsible for coordinating in order not to congest guests in isolated areas in the station; Do not keep guests for more than 90 minutes at the station.
International flights arriving in Vietnam must land at Van Don (Quang Ninh), Can Tho, Phu Cat (Binh Dinh) and other places at the request of the authorities.
At the meeting on the same day, the National Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention said that, when the global pandemic spreads, Vietnam had to change its containment strategy. Relevant units should be fierce in preventing epidemics from outside and the risk of infection from hundreds of thousands of people who have entered Vietnam, many of them from epidemic areas.
Deputy Minister of Health Nguyen Thanh Long said that, along with the isolation of all Vietnamese and foreigners on entry, functional forces must quickly detect suspected cases.
The Steering Committee assigned the Ministry of Health and the military medical force to work out plans, procure supplies, equipment, training, etc. to soon deploy the mobile lab; mobilize the total force of the testing system to screen and screen people at risk of infection.
The army presided over concentrated isolation, not missing any isolated cases. The localities prepare hotels and accommodation establishments for isolation with fee collection for foreigners holding diplomatic, official passports and experts working on important projects as required by Vietnam.
Before that, from 0h on 18/3, Vietnam stopped granting visas to foreigners. Cases of visa exemption or visa exemption certificates granted to Vietnamese people and relatives, and some other special cases (such as experts, business managers, skilled workers) upon entry a nCoV non-positive confirmation is required. This certificate is issued by a competent authority of the host country and must be approved by Vietnam.
The suspension of visas does not apply to those who enter the country for diplomatic or official purposes.
